I thoroughly enjoyed your post and was surprised to find a few new-to-me bits of information given how far down the rabbit hole I’ve been since first seeing Nene’s Zombie performance on AGT. I’ve seen it dozens of times through reaction videos and rewatching it on AGT’s YouTube channel and still tear up at seeing her dad with his face in his hands at the end of her performance and her reaction to seeing him.
What’s also astonishing about her is just how humble she is. The way she fell to the floor sobbing after getting the golden buzzer for her ‘Black Hole Sun’ performance, I couldn’t get over her surprise. She nailed it in every conceivable way.
I can’t contain my excitement for living during a time where I get to witness her journey. I am not one to go nuts over celebrities. I can count on one hand the number of concerts I’ve been to in my 50 years on this planet. I’ve already bought her merch and have cash in hand to buy the best seats I can when she comes to Canada on her world tour.
